Oban – The Whisky That Inspired a Town and Our Luxury Gift Baskets
Discover the story of Oban – the whisky around which an entire town was built, and how it became the heart of our luxury gift baskets at One Gift.
Oban is both – a whisky around which an entire town was born.
The story begins over 200 years ago, when two brothers decided: “We’re going to make whisky.” They built a distillery… and the town of Oban began to grow around it. The opposite of what usually happens, right?
A Story with a 7,000-Year-Old Secret
When expanding the distillery’s cellars, workers stumbled upon an ancient cave containing human bones – the remains of people who lived 7,000 years ago.Oban is not just a drink – it is a whisky that quite literally stands above an ancient secret. With every sip, you taste layers of time, culture, and craftsmanship.
What Makes Oban Special
Slightly smoky, slightly fruity – balanced and exceptionally harmonious. It’s neither “too masculine” nor “too modern.” It’s for someone who avoids extremes but values meaning and sophistication.
Favored by lawyers, doctors, architects, bankers… and anyone who appreciates quiet luxury – the kind that doesn’t need to be shown off.
